Artist In Residence is the title of this quirky assemblage of found objects that combine with an original painting to create unique small wall art featuring a haunting mime face pencil headed character drawing inside a scene that's topped with a front door overhang from an old dollhouse. This piece began with a small acrylic painting that was mounted inside a shoe box lid. The lid was brushed with black paint and clear varathane varnish. Then strips of painted paper from another project were glued into place along with vintage metal paper clips, a portion of an old wood ruler, pencils, paint brush heads, and strips of old cedar from a wood barn.

Curio Box Assemblage Art Filled With Natural and Man Made / Comparative Nature

Found objects combine within a lidded curio box to create unique small wall art that compares one thing to another in form under the general theme of motion, including spirals, whether it be natural or man-made... a comparative nature sure to offer viewers with much to contemplate.
